BEHIND THE MUSIC

Stephen is a locally born and raised Calgarian who is passionate about music education and performance.  He is on faculty at Ambrose University and Mount Royal Conservatory for guitar studies, and also runs a home music studio.  Stephen is a graduate of the Bachelor of Music degree, and Master of Music degree in Guitar Performance from the University of Calgary, studying with renowned teacher and performer Dr. Ralph Maier.  Additionally, he has the RCM ARCT Performer's diploma in Classical Guitar, and is currently pursuing the ARCT diploma for Piano and Voice. Stephen is engaged in the Calgary music scene through local performances as a board member of the Classical Guitar Society of Calgary, and you can see him performing regularly at Haven House Café or Shelf Life Books!
